Handmade Chashaku | Bamboo Scoop

The Chashaku; bamboo scoop has been sourced from a family-owned workshop in Takayama, Ikoma of Nara, Japan - the birthplace of the tea whisk and home to a 500 year old tradition spanning over 25 generations. 

Our traditional chashaku has been designed and created to ensure the correct amount of matcha powder can be measured out for each serving. One heaped scoop using the chashaku is approximately 1g - a serving for a matcha can vary between 2-4g, depending on how concentrated you like your matcha and what type of matcha drink you are preparing. 

Lightly rinse under cold water before your first use. To clean your bamboo scoop, rinse under warm water to remove any tea residue.
