Our chasen (tea whisks) and chashaku (bamboo scoops) are sourced from a family-owned workshop in Takayama, Ikoma of Nara, Japan – the birthplace of the tea whisk and home to a 500-year tradition spanning over 25 generations.

Unlike mass-produced tools found on the market, each whisk and scoop is carefully handcrafted from a single piece of bamboo by highly skilled artisans under the guidance of the family’s master craftsman. Their dedication to this craft is evident not only in the refined beauty of each piece but in their unparalleled ability to prepare a perfect, delicious bowl of tea.
