Our JAS-certified organic Hojicha powder is a dark-roasted Japanese green tea made from the Yabukita cultivar. Naturally nutty, toasty, and gently sweet, this comforting roasted tea is the perfect companion for a slow, mindful tea ritual or a calming afternoon break.
Similar to matcha, just add 2 scoops (or more!) of the hojicha powder to your chawan and whisk until a delicate foam forms. Serve as is, or add your favourite milk for a creamy hojicha latte - enjoy hot or cold. Each 30g canister makes around 15 servings of roasted Japanese tea.

1. Scoop 2g (about 1 tsp) of hojicha powder into your chawan (tea bowl).
2. Soak your bamboo whisk briefly in hot water to soften the tines.
3. Add a small splash of hot water (~80°C) and whisk to form a paste.
4. Pour in 50-70ml of hot water (~80°C) and whisk in a zig-zag motion until a fine, delicate foam forms.
5. Sip and enjoy as a traditional roasted Japanese tea, or add your preferred milk for a creamy hot or iced hojicha latte.

Once opened, keep sealed in an airtight container such as the canister and store in a cool, dry place away from strong odours, moisture and sunlight.
